Upper mustang trek is an exploration of the forbidden and the alienated Himalayan kingdom of Nepal. Having been located in the frontier of Tibet, a great deal of influence can be experienced of Tibetan trade and culture (Mustang Tiji Festival) here it is at the center point for all the northern mountain range of Nepal and Tibet too. The landscapes here are like a desert and the rugged terrain of Upper mustang is really thrilling. The rainfall seldom occurs here. Upper mustang, an ancient Himalayan kingdom is located at the top of the Kaligandaki River.

The major attraction of Upper Mustang is the fortified fabled city of Lo-Manthang. According to the history of Nepal, Upper Mustang was a separate kingdom within Nepal until the time of Monarchy till 2006 and even after the downfall of Monarchy this small Tibetan settlement has the same respect to the kingship as for their King Jigme Paramal Bista. The trek to Lo-Manthang is considerably important as the trekkers have go through high altitude desert country climbing in and out of the huge sided valley of the Kali Gandaki and the gorge which the Kali Gandaki River runs through is the deepest in the world. This region is enriched with some of Nepals oldest Buddhist Monasteries, ancient and isolated villages with quaint white washed houses and most strikingly, the vibrant Buddhist cultural celebration with their classical music.

Day 6 : Trek from Chele to Geiling.(3500m) -Overnight at Lodge-
