Everest High Passes trek is well recognized as one of the most thrilling and adventurous trekking trails in the Everest or Khumbu region which always tends to please those keen adventure enthusiasts. This trekking lets you experience the real flavour of the thrills of triumphing the high passes in the Himalayan kingdom. Most significantly; this trek offers an enduring experience of the exotic natural beauty, geographical magnificence and profound cross cultural exposure.
This trek takes you to the most scenic region of Everest through three most scenic high passes; Renjo la pass, Kongma La and Chola Pass, which are considered to be the rewarding high, passes to the adventure enthusiasts.
The trek not only offers the thrills of adventure in the high passes but alos provides a great opportunity to visit Kala Pathar, Gokyo Lakes, Gokyo Ri , Khumbu glacier and Ngozumpa glacier.
As most of the treks in everest region, Everest High passes trek commences after a short scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and the trail descend to Phakding and the trail ascends to beautiful tourist hub, Namche Bazar. Along the way trail, the trekkers will witness magnificent glaciers, sacred monasteries, settlement of sherpas, and Himalayan wildlife and plants. Basically, the high passes offer probably the best opportunity to witness mountain range closer.
.Since The Everest High Passes trek is considered to be quite challenging adventure as they have to conquer three high passes, adventure enthusiasts requires a sound level of walking fitness, and stamina to resist the unforeseen circumstances like weather extremes. But it doesn’t mean that you have to have technicality to accomplish this trek successfully. This is the very trek which takes you to the circuit of Everest region amongst breathtaking mountain views, serene lakes and beautiful landscapes with thrilling adventure. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to Hotel

This the very first day that you step in Nepal for the trip. You will be received by our representative in the airport. Our representative will be at the arrival holding placard with your and our  company name (Magic Expedition. And then, you will be transferred to the hotel. It is around 30 mins drive from the airport to the hotel. There may some hassles like offering taxi or hotel or something like that. Do go with them. And sometimes, in international flight, your luggage may be missing. Be very careful. We hope it will not disturb your trip.

After your arrival to the hotel, you will get refreshed and we will have a short orientation meeting regarding the trip. We will introduce guide or trip leader. For this, be with   4 pieces of recent pp sized photographs, copy of passport and copy of travel insurance-Overnight in Hotel-

Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu & trek preparation (1,300m)
After breakfast, we can enjoy a free day on our own or participate in a sightseeing program organized by “Magic Expedition”. The sightseeing program is focused on to introduce some highlights and UNESCO World Heritage sites of Kathmandu such as Durbar square, Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinath and Bouddhanath. After some hours sightseeing,Evening pre-trip discussion and introduction with our trekking staff for your adventure trip-Overnight in Hotel-
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2,800m) & trek to Phakding (2,652m), 3-4 hrs walk
Early morning flight to Lukla, 40 minute scenic flight. We will provide you breakfast in Lukla. While you are eating breakfast our guide will divide the baggage to be carried by the porters. From Lukla we will pass through Sherpa villages before reach Phakding. This is the first day of your trek; we will hike only 3 to 4 hours. After you arrive in Phakding you could explore Phakding village-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m), 6-7 hrs walk
After breakfast in Phakding, we will continue our Three Pass trek crossing five suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi river. We will register your permit number and group details at the National Park office in Monjo, the entrance gate for Sagarmatha National Park. After crossing the Hilary suspension bridge we will ascend the trail to Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the center of the Khumbu region where many small shops can be found-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 05: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar
“Magic Expedition” suggests one day for acclimatization to adjust for high altitude. You will have a full day at your leisure to explore the shops in Namche Bazaar or hike to the Everest View Hotel for your first view of Mt. Everest and a panorama of major peaks in the region. If this is a Saturday, you can visit the colorful market of Namche where people shop, exchange and sell their goods. Also you can visit the Sherpa Museum, where you will learn about the Sherpa culture and the history of mountaineering on Mt. Everest-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 06: Trek to Thame, (3800m), 3 to 4 hours
At Namche Bazaar we separate from the traditional Everest Base Camp route and walk 3-4 hours to Thame village. Situated along the route which historically led to the Tibetan border, Thame is the oldest village of the Sherpa people. About 150m above the town is the Thame Gompa, a charming Buddhist monastery-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 07: Trek to Marlung, (4137m), 4 to 5 hours
From Thame the trail heads north to Thame Teng and on through several small villages such as Chanakpa, Taranga, crossing through yak fields to reach Marulung village where we will spend the night at a mountain teahouse-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 08: Trek to Lungdeng (4600m), 3 to 4 hours
Trek through the isolated hillsides to reach Lungdeng where we will overnight at a basic mountain teahouse-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 09: Trek to Renjo- La (5465m) to Gokyo Lake (4800m)
Crossing Renjo La is a difficult day due to the altitude. Normally the weather is clear from March to May and from September to November when the prospects for favorable conditions are excellent. Enjoy outstanding views from the top of Renjo La including breathtaking views of the world’s highest peaks, Mt. Everest 8848m, Makalu 8463m, Lhotse 8516m and Cho Oyo 8201m. Careful walking is required as the trail sharply descends to Gokyo-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 10: Relax Day at Gokyo
After crossing Renjo La, you will spend a relaxing day at Gokyo. Rest or explore the lakes and enjoy the views of Mt. Everest and Cho-Oyu. You can also see the northern part of Cho-Oyu base camp and the biggest glacier in the world, Ngozumba Glacier-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 11: Hike to Gokyo RI (5,330m), and trek to Thaknak (4750m), 7-8 hrs
Early morning hike up to Gokyo Ri for a spectacular view of the sunrise. Here you will be rewarded with outstanding views of Mt. Everest and surrounding Himalayan scenery. Back to Gokyo for breakfast. Then trek to Dragnag passing by the second lake and an unforgettable walk across the Ngozumba Glacier-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 12: Trek to Cho-la Pass (5367m) to Dzongla (4,850m), 5-6 hrs walk
Another long day of trekking to cross the Cho La pass. Many trekkers cross Cho La; the pass is not difficult, but it is steep and involves a glacier crossing on the eastern side. After completing the pass, we descend to Dzonglha with outstanding views of Cholatse Peak (6,335m)-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 13: Trek to Gorakshep (5,160m), 5-6 hrs walk
We continue our trek along the moraine of the Khumbu glacier with views of Kalapathar and Pumori. The rocky trail to Gorak Shep offers views of Pumori, Everest Base Camp, and glaciers with beautiful mountain views-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 14: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,357m) and return to Lobuche for overnight. 6 to 7 hrs
After breakfast at Gorak Shep we will continue our trek towards the Everest Base Camp with views of the famous Khumbu Icefall. The hike is fairly strenuous due to the high altitude and thin air. The walk passes over rocky dunes and streams until you reach Base Camp where outstanding photo opportunities are plentiful. Return to Gorak Shep, then continue trekking to Lobuche-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 15: Lobuche - Kongma La (5,535m) - Chhukung (4,730m): 8-10 hrs
After breakfast in Lobuche, we begin the trek by crossing the Khumbu Glacier (2 hours) and then climb the canyon to ascend Kongma La (5,535m). The glacier crossing and ascent up Kongma La is a difficult trek, but well worth the views of the surrounding peaks once reaching the summit. Descend into the Imja Khola valley hiking from Chhukung to Dingboche with views of Ama Dablam (6,856 m)-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 16: Trek to Tyangboche (3,867m), 4-5 hrs walk
Easy walk downhill to a lower elevation. After the bridge, our route follows the stream towards Pangboche village and further down the valley to Tengboche where the famous Tengboche Monastery is located. Overnight stay at a teahouse situated beneath the tall, magnificent peak, Ama Dablam-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 17: Trek to Monjo ((2680M), 5-6 hrs walk
After breakfast, we trek downhill to Phunkethanga a small settlement with a couple of teahouses. From here the trail leads through the rhododendron forest, and after crossing the local wooden bridge over the Dudh Koshi river, we climb to Sanasa. From Sanasa we descend to Namche Bazaar, then trek further down the valley to Monjo-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 18: Trek to Lukla (2,800m), 6-7 hrs walk
After breakfast in Monjo, we trek back to Lukla enjoying the pleasant green scenery and passing through picturesque Sherpa villages. Finally, the trail leads you back to Lukla. After arriving in Lukla you will have time to celebrate the completion of your trek-Overnight in Lodge-
Day 19 Fly back to Kathmandu (1,300m)
After an early morning flight to Kathmandu, our guide will transfer you to your hotel. You will have time to relax after the long journey, catch your breath, and rest at your hotel before completing your Himalayan adventure with us-Overnight in Hotel-
Day 20: Final Departure from Kathmandu or onward for next destination
After breakfast, rest and relax or take time to catch up on last minute gift shopping for your family and friends. We will transfer you to Kathmandu International Airport for your departure to your next destination.
