Yala Peak climbing is considered to be one of the easiest peaks climbing in Nepal. Having been located at 5732m height, Yala Peak doesn’t claim that you have to have mountaineering experience. It means those who have a good deal of hiking experience and physical fitness can accomplish this wonderful expedition in popular Langtang region of Nepal. No technicality of peak climbing is required to triumph over popular Yala Peak. In addition, no technical steep rocks and mass of snow have been noted down so far during the Yala Peak Expedition.
Since this adventurous trekking as well as climbing intermingled with popular Langtang trekking, the trekkers will not only experience the real thrills of adventurous trekking and climbing but also amazing Tibetan Buddhist cultural heritages in the mountain. Beside Yala Peak, Kanjing Gompa, Langtang Valley and unique cultural heritages are other highlights of this adventurous trekking.
To scale Yala Peak, you have to follow the same trekking trail of Langtang-Kyanjin Gompa trekking until you reach Kanjing Gompa. After 8-9 hours of scenic drive to Syabru Besi from Kathmandu, this trip commences. You have to hike five days to reach a beautiful and mesmerizing Langtang Valley. Then you will ascend to Kanjing Gompa which is tremendously enriched with Tibetan Buddhist heritages and cheese factories. Kyanjin Gompa is situated below Langtang Lirung (7246 m) and we spend three days acclimatizing taking day-hikes in spectacular surroundings. After your acclimatization you will ascend to set your base camp on a meadow at 4800 m and climb Yala Peak the next day. The last portion of the trip is is on ice so you will be using crampons, ice axe and rope as well. Around 700m trip is a bit technical at last. From the summit of Yala Peak you will see Shishapangma (8046 m) and the fluted Gangchempo (6388m).
After climbing Yala Peak you will descend down to Syabrubesi and drive back to Kathmandu. As this adventure is intermingled with Langtang – Kyanjin trekking , it offers you a great deal of natural infatuations including glimpses major snowy peaks, picturesques landscapes, deep forests including various flora and faunas, beautiful pasture lands and Tibetan villages along with lively culture.
