Mardi Himal Trek is popularly famous as a hidden gem in one of the most popular trekking trails in Nepal. It is located to the East of Annapurna Base Camp trek.

Mardi Himal Base Camp itself offers you spectacular views of snow-capped mountains in the Annapurna region. Your climb to the summit of Mardi Himal trekking  (3-4 hours)  will be more rewarding. It offers more fantastic and stunning mountain panorama.

It is one of the perfect vantage points to witness breath-taking views of Himalayas closer up in the horizon. As other trips to Annapurna region, Mardi Himal trekking also commences after a short and scenic drive from Pokhara to Phedi. Pokhara itself offers you some amazing experience of natural splendour.

The trails then ascend along the small winding path through the various deep forest.  Especially, beautiful rhododendron will be more beautiful during March and April.

since the entire hill will be reddish with flowering rhododendron. Then, you will begin to experience rugged mountain landscape with some amazing mountain views including ‘a hidden gem’, Mardi Himal, Annapurna South, Mount Machhapuchhre (also known as Fishtail) and Mount Hiunchuli.

From High Camp (3580m.) you can climb up to Mardi Himal Base Camp in about 3-4 hours. which offers magnificent close-up views of the entire Annapurna Range. Nowadays, you can find teahouse accommodation easily while trekking to Mardi Himal.

GateWay For Mardi Himal Trek?

If you are planning to do Mardi Himal. You need to drive 200km from Kathmandu that will take an 8hrs drive to reach to Pokhara. And from Pokhara again drive to Nayapul. So Nayapul is the gateway from where you will step up to Dhampus.

Type of Accommodation During Mardi Himal Trek?

To go to trekking means you are visiting the remote area so please do not expect every trekking route you will get luxurious room same like in Kathmandu and Pokhara. During trekking, you will sleep at the Tea House. The Tea house means normal Local Lodges. where you will get normal Bed, Blanket, and Common Bathroom. Even for a hot shower also need to pay extra.

Food And Drinks?

During Trekking in Nepal. Most of the places you will get Local Foods like Nepali Thali ( Dal Bhat), MoMo, Chowmin, Thukpa, Fried Rice etc and some international food Like Spaghetti, Macaroni, Pizza, Pan Cake, Fried Eggs etc you will get according to the menu. In drinks you can get Local Tea, Coffee, and also even if you request for the water to drinks need to pay extra.

Day 1: On arrival at Airport in Kathmandu [1,338m]

This the very first day that you step in Nepal for the trip. You will be received by our representative in the airport. Our representative will be at the arrival holding placard with your and our company name (Magic Expedition. And then, you will be transferred to the hotel. It is around 30 mins drive from the airport to the hotel. There may some hassles like offering taxi or hotel or something like that. Do go with them. And sometimes, in international flight, your luggage may be missing. Be very careful. We hope it will not disturb your trip.

After your arrival at the hotel, you will get refreshed and we will have a short orientation meeting regarding the trip. We will introduce a guide or trip leader. For this, be with   4 pieces of recent pp sized photographs, a copy of passport and copy of travel insurance-Overnight in Hotel-


Day 2: Kathmandu valley sightseeing ( a visit to popular UNESCO World Heritage sites)

This sightseeing tour commences after breakfast at around 8. You will have lunch during the tour in the afternoon. So, you have better have some money, Nepali currency is expected. For the whole day, You will be exploring Kathmandu valley, a valley of temples, major historical cultural heritages like swoyambhunath, Kathmandu durbar square, buddhas, Pashupatinath which are enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites. The tour ends at around 4 pm-Overnight in Hotel-


Day 3: Take an Early flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, check into the Hotel and Rest time Pokhara City sightseeing-Overnight in Hotel-

It is a 35 minutes scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The domestic airport from Thamel to fly to Pokhara is 35 mins drive. After arrival in Pokhara, you will go for city sightseeing like visiting David Falls, Fewa lake, Gupteswor Cave-Overnight in Hotel-


Day 4:Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul then trek to Pothana. Overnight in a camp (1,620m.).

It is an hour drive from Pokhara to Nayapul which is the beginning point of our trek. After that, the trek commences. Now, you are going to climb steep hill up to Dhampus. Dhampus is a beautiful village and also a vantage point for Mountain View including Annapurna massif and, especially, magnificent Machhgapuchhre, (Fishtail). The trail, then, is mild for you for half an hour and again the trail divides from the trail going up to Australian Base Camp and ascends through lush rhododendron woods. Then the trail descends till you get beautiful village Pothana. -Overnight in Lodge-


Day 5: Trek from Pothana to Forest Camp

Today, it is a walk through the forest full of birch, giant rhododendron, mountain oak, maple, hemlock and daphnie and viewing the Close up view of Annapurna II and other mountain views Overnight at Camp at (2,550m.)


Day 6:Trek from Forest Camp to Low Camp

You will be trekking again through beautiful Himalayan flora including the tree fern and orchid forests, Modi Khola valley. Overnight at Camp (3,400m.)


Day 7:Trek from Low Camp to High Camp

Relatively, the trekking today is tougher to climbing steeply up out of the forest crossing the tree line. However, the climb will totally be pleasant. Overnight at Camp (4,100m.)


Day 8:Take a day rest at High Camp

This is the special day for exploring the vicinity up to the (5,000m.) altitude from where you witness a fine glimpse of the Mountain like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machapuchare and many more. The mountain views and exploration of the region will be marvellous.


Day 9:Trek from High camp to Siding Village

This is a walk through the picturesque terraced fields and beautiful traditional settlements exploring the region further-Overnight in Lodge- (1,700m.)


Day 10: Trek from Siding village Phedi and drive to Pokhara

Today, you will be walking through beautiful pasturelands, ethnic Tamang and Gurung villages and within a few hours, you will meet the road at Phedi and from where you take a bus or private van or jeep or car to Pokhara. It is a one-hour drive from Phedi to Pokhara. Overnight at hotel-Overnight in Hotel-


Day 11: Drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Tourist bus station is around 15-20 mins..walk from Lakeside, Pokhara or optionally, you can take the taxi to the bus station. The leader will help to get the bus station. The tourist bus leaves at 7.30 for Kathmandu every morning. It takes around 7-8 hours to get Kathmandu from Pokhara. On the way, you will see the winding country road, river, woods and local people and their lifestyle. However, we must say, the condition of the road is not good. Sometimes, bumpy and dusty…. To escape it, you, optionally, can go with flight. It is a 35 minutes flight from Pokhara  to Kathmandu

In the evening, after you get to the hotel, we will have dinner together and review the trip and exchange the experiences during your trip and you can feedback us-Overnight in Hotel-


Day 12: Farewell and Departure

According to your flight schedule, we will drop you to the airport for the onward flight towards your country or next destination.
